The Laude Lady Elizabeth School is presenting an Exhibition of Student’s Art at Denia’s Casa de Cultura and having attended the opening night one can truly state the experience was a ‘feast for the eyes’. This beautifully presented exhibition represents a selection of 48 pictures depicting a variety of themes from still life to portraits and landscapes including genres ranging from Pop-Art to Photorealism and psychologically revealing portraiture. The stunning, original creativity captivates the visitor from the moment they enter the room and the world of the student’s imagination. We were inspired by the variety of subject matter and the blaze of colours used to project the individual’s view of life and art. The exhibition is a truly impressive example of eclectic styles and use of mediums. These students, who are only eighteen years old and yet to enter Art College, display a professional quality to their work which is clearly evident and demonstrates a very fine interpretation of both traditional and abstract themes and techniques more often associated with well established artists. The exhibition is open daily between 10.00 – 14.00 and 17.00 – 21.00 and continues until 28 January at the Casa de Cultura in Denia and is well worth a visit! |
