A-Level, IGCSE and Year 9 art students were delighted to have Viktor Ferrando, local sculptor, visit the school to discuss his latest work which is inspired by the structure, forms and sounds of the solar system.
He has recently spent several months studying the different planets, moons and stars contained within the solar system and has produced many sculptures based on his studies. He is currently working on a project which is related to the ‘Big Bang Theory’ and on completion will be housed in the Valencia Railway Station. These massive sculptures will have accompanying music similar to the sounds of the planets.
Viktor’s work can be seen in many local towns, European cities and as far away as Egypt.
During the course of his presentation he encouraged the students to pursue their dreams, to follow their passion and their artistic prowess.
We would like to thank Viktor for taking his time to give an inspiring account of his career so far and we wish him all the best with his Valencian project
